Hardik Pandya: Suryakumar Yadav to Lead India in T20I Series Against Australia. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, October 4, announced the Indian squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia, scheduled from October 29 to November 8.
Hardik Pandya: Suryakumar Yadav will captain the Indian team, with Shubman Gill serving as his deputy. Abhishek Sharma, who impressed with the bat during the Asia Cup 2025, has been chosen to open the innings. The squad largely mirrors the one that represented India in the Asia Cup 2025. However, Hardik Pandya has been ruled out due to injury, paving the way for Nitish Kumar Reddy’s inclusion.
