Thomas Rew has been appointed captain of the England U19 squad for the upcoming Youth ODI series against India U19. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a 15-player England U19 squad for the series, which begins on June 27 with the opening match.
The two teams will compete in five Youth ODI matches. The first game will take place at Central County Ground, Hove. The next two matches are scheduled for The County Ground, Northampton, on June 30 and July 2. The final two matches will be held at Visit Worcestershire New Road, Worcester.

Rocky Flintoff, son of former England captain Andrew Flintoff, has been named in England’s U19 squad for the upcoming Youth ODI series against India U19. The squad consists of 15 players:
England U19 Squad: Thomas Rew (Captain), Ralphie Albert, Ben Dawkins, Jaydn Denly, Rocky Flintoff, Alex French, Alex Green, Jack Home, James Isbell, Ben Mayes, James Minto, Isaac Mohammed, Joseph Moores, Seb Morgan, and Alex Wade.
England U19 coach Mike Yardy expressed enthusiasm about the squad, highlighting the challenge ahead against India U19.
“We’ve selected an exciting squad for the ODI series, featuring players with diverse white-ball skills who are primarily available for the ICC Under-19 World Cup this winter. The India Under-19 team will be a strong challenge this summer, providing a fantastic opportunity for our players to showcase their abilities both individually and as a team,” Yardy said, according to ecb.co.uk.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the India U19 squad last month, with Ayush Mhatre appointed as captain of the 16-member side.
Following the five-match Youth ODI series, both teams will face off in two Youth four-day Test matches. The first Test will start on July 12 at the County Cricket Ground in Beckenham, and the second will begin on July 19 at The Ambassador Cruise Line Ground in Chelmsford
