South Africa has made adjustments to their schedule for next year’s West Indies series.
The five-match T20 International (T20I) series against the West Indies has been reduced to three games, following updates to the 2025–2026 men’s international home calendar announced by Cricket South Africa (CSA).
This change comes after the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the support period for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will begin on January 31. To align with the revised global calendar, the T20I series — originally slated for January 27 to February 6 — has been shortened.
Consequently, the matches must conclude by January 31, when the T20 World Cup support period starts, leading to the removal of two fixtures from the original schedule.
Final T20I to be celebrated as the “Pink T20I” with no ODIs on the schedule

Buffalo Park in East London and Newlands in Cape Town will no longer host matches, becoming the biggest casualties of the revised schedule. The T20I series will kick off with the first match at Boland Park in Paarl on Tuesday, 27 January, followed by the second T20I at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Thursday, 29 January.
The series will conclude on Saturday, 31 January, with the ever-popular Pink Day at Johannesburg’s DP World Wanderers Stadium. Traditionally held as an ODI, Pink Day will now coincide with the third T20I, continuing its important role in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer initiatives.
Ahead of the Under-19 World Cup, South Africa will also host three Under-19 one-day matches against India at Willowmoore Park in Benoni from 3 to 7 January. The ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 will be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia, with the full tournament schedule yet to be released.
This T20I series will play a crucial role in both teams’ preparations for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup.
