Australia defeated India by 43 runs to secure a series-clinching 2-1 win in New Delhi on Saturday. Electing to bat first, the visitors got off to a strong start as opener Georgia Voll scored 81 off 68 balls, forging key partnerships with captain Alyssa Healy (30) and Ellyse Perry (68) before departing in the 22nd over.
Beth Mooney continued the onslaught at No. 4, smashing 138 off 75 balls, including 23 fours and a six, reaching her century in just 57 deliveries. Australia posted a massive 412 in 47.5 overs. For India, Arundhati Reddy claimed three wickets, while Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma took two apiece.
During the chase, India faltered early as Smriti Mandhana lost opening partner Pratika Rawal (10) in the fourth over, followed by Harleen Deol (11 off 14). Harmanpreet Kaur’s arrival helped Mandhana stabilize the innings. The Indian opener went on to break Virat Kohli’s record, scoring the fastest century by an Indian in ODIs in just 50 balls, surpassing Kohli’s 52-ball ton in 2013.

Deepti Sharma tried to stabilize the innings but was dismissed in the 43rd over after scoring 72 off 58 deliveries. India finished with 369 in 47 overs. For Australia, Kim Garth took three wickets, while Megan Schutt claimed two dismissals, keeping the visitors in the contest.
