Uma Chetry Called Up to India Women Squad as Yastika Bhatia Withdraws, India Women have faced a significant blow ahead of their upcoming ODI series against Australia Women and the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Wicket-keeper batter Yastika Bhatia has been ruled out due to a knee injury sustained during the team’s preparatory camp in Visakhapatnam.
Yastika Bhatia recovery is being closely monitored by the BCCI medical team. In her place, Uma Chetry has been named as her replacement and will join the squad soon for the Australia ODIs and the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Chetry, who was initially set to play for India A in the warm-up matches ahead of the World Cup, will now skip those fixtures to join the senior team.
Yastika Bhatia: India Women are scheduled to host Australia Women for a three-match ODI series from September 14 to September 20, before heading into the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, starting September 30.
