Sarfaraz Khan Sheds 17 Kg, Stuns Fans with Dramatic Transformation. Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan has undergone a remarkable physical transformation in recent months, dropping an impressive 17 kilograms. On Monday, July 21, Sarfaraz took to social media to share a new photo showcasing his leaner physique.
His father, Naushad Khan, revealed that the transformation came through a disciplined change in Sarfaraz Khan diet. During India A’s tour of the England Lions, the 26-year-old had already lost around 10 kg. Despite being overlooked for the ongoing Test series against England, Sarfaraz remained focused on his fitness journey and shed even more weight.
Fans and fellow cricketers were quick to applaud his dedication, with former England star Kevin Pietersen praising Sarfaraz Khan efforts on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
“We’ve Cut Out Roti and Rice Completely” – Naushad Khan Opens Up on Sarfaraz Khan’s Weight Loss Regime

In a candid conversation with Hindustan Times, Naushad Khan, father of Sarfaraz Khan, shared insights into the strict dietary changes his son has adopted in his fitness journey. Naushad revealed that they’ve completely eliminated roti and rice from their meals in a bid to support Sarfaraz’s weight loss efforts.
“We’ve drastically changed our diet. For the past month to month-and-a-half, we haven’t had roti or rice at all. Our meals now consist of broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, green salads, grilled fish, grilled or boiled chicken, and boiled eggs. We’re also drinking green tea and green coffee,” he said.
He further added, “We include avocados and sprouts too. But the key is that we’ve cut out roti, rice, sugar, maida, and all bakery items. Sarfaraz has already shed nearly 10 kilos in just over a month, and he’s still working hard to lose more.”
Despite his dedication and recent form, Sarfaraz Khan was not selected for the Test series against England. The 26-year-old showcased his skills in the unofficial Test series against the England Lions, where he notched up a century for India A.
Since making his international debut last year, the right-handed batter has featured in six Test matches, amassing 371 runs in 11 innings at an average of 37.10, which includes one century and three fifties. Although named in India’s squad for the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he did not get a chance to feature in the playing XI.
