ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025: Warm-Up Match Schedule Released

All teams except Australia will participate in two warm-up matches ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the warm-up schedule on Tuesday, July 15. The tournament is set to take place in India and Sri Lanka from September to November.

Eight teams will compete in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025: India, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Pakistan, England, and South Africa.

The tournament kicks off on September 30 with the opening match between hosts India and Sri Lanka, and the final is scheduled for November 2. Before the main event, all teams will play warm-up matches between September 25 and 28.

Four venues will host the warm-up games: Centre of Excellence Ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, R. Premadasa Stadium, and Colombo Cricket Club Ground.

In addition to the eight participating teams, India ‘A’ and Sri Lanka ‘A’ squads will also take part in the warm-ups. India ‘A’ will play one match, while Sri Lanka ‘A’ will play two. Of the eight main teams, all except Australia will play two warm-up matches, with Australia playing only one.

Meanwhile, the Australia women’s team will enter the tournament as defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2022 by defeating England women by 71 runs in the final.
