Rishabh Pant scored twin centuries against England in the first Test. Following his outstanding batting performance in the opening Test of the ongoing five-match series against England, India’s wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has risen to the sixth position in the latest ICC Test batting rankings. The left-hander moved up one spot, now holding 801 rating points.
Pant set several batting records with his twin centuries at Headingley, Leeds, scoring 134 and 118 runs. He became the first Indian to score centuries in both innings of a Test match in England.
England opener Ben Duckett, who played a match-winning innings of 149, retained his eighth position in the rankings. Meanwhile, Australia’s Travis Head, who made two half-centuries in the first Test against the West Indies in Barbados, climbed three places to reach the 10th spot.

Jasprit Bumrah Maintains Number One Position in ICC Test Bowling Rankings

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has successfully held onto the top position in the latest ICC Test bowling rankings with a rating of 907 points. The right-arm pacer secured a five-wicket haul in the first Test against England. Additionally, Ravindra Jadeja continues to lead the all-rounders’ rankings with 376 rating points.
Australia’s Josh Hazlewood, who also took a five-wicket haul in the first Test against the West Indies, has climbed one spot to reach fourth place among Test bowlers. West Indies pacer Jayden Seales has similarly advanced by one position to ninth, following his five-wicket performance in the first innings of the Barbados Test.
Meanwhile, England’s Joe Root continues to hold the top position among Test batsmen with a rating of 889 points. Apart from Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal is the only other Indian batsman to feature in the top 10. Jaiswal, who scored a century in the Headingley Test, currently ranks fourth.
Among bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah is the sole Indian in the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings, while Ravindra Jadeja follows as the next highest-ranked Indian at 13th place.
