Liverpool has claimed every major trophy available, cementing their place as one of the most successful clubs in both English and European football. Since its inception, the team has accumulated numerous accolades.
In the 1960s, under Bill Shankly, Liverpool rose to prominence as a dominant force in domestic football. The club’s success continued in the 1970s and 1980s under the leadership of Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, and Kenny Dalglish, during which time they secured eleven league titles and four European Cups. This remarkable period established Liverpool as a perennial contender for trophies both in England and on the international stage.

Under the leadership of Jürgen Klopp and Rafael Benítez, Liverpool secured two more European Cups in 2019 and 2005. In 2020, Klopp led the team to its first Premier League title, marking their 19th league title overall.
The team, known as “The Reds,” introduced the iconic all-red home strip during Shankly’s era in the 1960s, which has been in use ever since. The club’s anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” was also adopted during Shankly’s leadership.
Since its founding in 1892, Liverpool F.C. has had 46 players serve as club captain.
Liverpool’s first trophy came in their inaugural season when they won the Lancashire League. Their first league title followed in 1901, with their most recent title in 2024. The team claimed their first FA Cup in 1965.
The 1980s marked Liverpool’s most successful decade, during which they won two FA Cups, four League Cups, one Football League Super Cup, five Charity Shields (one shared), two European Cups, and six league titles.
