Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan got off to a strong start, with Sahibzada Farhan scoring 57 and Fakhar Zaman scoring 46, but Kuldeep, Jasprit Bumrah (2/25), Varun Chakravarthy (2/30), and Axar Patel (2/26) dismissed the remaining batsmen to break Pakistan’s back.

According to sources, the Asian Cricket Council had proposed involving an unbiased broadcaster at the toss, but the BCCI refused. Subsequently, the PCB demanded a Pakistani national as its presenter, and the ACC ultimately chose Waqar Younis.
