India completed a dominant 2-0 sweep over the West Indies in the two-match Test series. The Indian Cricket Team thoroughly outclassed the Roston Chase-led side, winning the first Test by an innings and 140 runs and securing a seven-wicket victory in the second match, which concluded on Tuesday, October 14.

Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav stole the show in the second Test in Delhi, claiming eight wickets in the match. He picked up a five-wicket haul in the first innings and followed it with three more wickets in the second, earning the Player of the Match award.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named Player of the Series for his brilliant all-round performance. The 36-year-old scored a century and took four wickets in the first Test, while in the second Test, he contributed with four wickets across both innings, though he did not get a chance to bat.

This was India’s second series in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27. Earlier, Shubman Gill & Co. drew 2-2 against England in a five-match series in August. With this win, now occupy third place in the WTC points table with a win percentage of 61.90.

India to Face South Africa in Upcoming Home Test Series

India is set to host South Africa for a two-match Test series in November. The opening Test will start on November 14 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, marking India’s next fixture in Test cricket. The second Test is scheduled from November 22 to 26 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

Apart from the Tests, India and South Africa will also compete in three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODIs are slated for November 30, December 3, and December 6, while the T20Is will take place from December 9 to 19.

Before this series, India will be in action on their white-ball tour of Australia. Shubman Gill will captain the side in three ODIs from October 19 to 25, followed by five T20Is from October 29 to November 8, with Suryakumar Yadav leading in the T20 format.
