Reacting to this, former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan strongly criticized the actions of the Pakistani players. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Pathan said that these gestures clearly reflect the players’ upbringing and understanding of the game.
He said that Sahibzada Farhan should have understood the situation of the match and the atmosphere between the two countries. Pathan also condemned Haris Rauf’s actions, saying that they were completely against the spirit of the game.
Irfan also targeted former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi in this matter, saying that he should come forward and respond. His statement quickly went viral on social media and sparked mixed reactions among fans.
