India’s home Test season will begin with a two-Test series against the WI. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the squad for the two-Test series against the West Indies will be selected online on September 23rd or 24th. The series will begin on October 2nd at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Regarding this information, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia was quoted by the Times of India as saying, “The Indian Test team for the upcoming Test series against the West Indies will be selected on September 23rd or 24th. This selection meeting will be online.”
The second Test of the series will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, India’s capital, from October 10th to 14th. The series will feature several Indian players, including Mohammed Siraj, who helped India win the fifth Test at the Oval in England with his career-best performance of 9/190. Siraj was also named ICC Player of the Month for his outstanding performance. Karun Nair and Prasidh Krishna are also expected to return to action.
West Indies announce squad for Test series
On the other hand, the Caribbean team has announced its squad for the two-match Test series against India. Opener Tegnarayan Chanderpaul and batsman Alick Athanase return to the squad. Khary Pierre has been included in the squad for the first time. Pierre recently took 41 wickets at an average of 13.56 in the West Indies Championship. The West Indies will hope not to repeat the mistakes they made in the Test series against Australia against India.
